For me art is at its best when it conveys a narrative.  Art is visual narrative.  At least in my world. That’s why my work tends to focus on people.  If my work conveys something about the state of being human, it makes me happy.

My paintings are primarily done in oil on canvas.  My illustrations and comics are primarily watercolor and ink on bristol board.  Occassionally I’ll play with acrylics, but I prefer translucence in my colors, probably because it’s easier to convey skin tones.

You may find the stray still life or acrylic abstract work in my portfolio, but I primarily enjoy working with the human form, realism, illustration, cartoons, and fluid mediums.
