I love stories told in any medium. Any chance I have to participate in some form of the storytelling process, (from writing to drawing comics to creating film to performance), I’ll take it.

I’m an avid fan of genre fiction. For me it highlights the fact that while fiction may not be reality, it is a paradigm through which we can interpret our reality. Good fiction is modern myth-making. Good myths help us understand something about ourselves a little better.

My love of stories is why my paintings gravitate toward some sort of narrative and often focus on portraits or visual narrative. What drives me is the human experience in all of its beautiful and ugly manifestations. For me, the fact that we exist at all is amazing.
